About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client in the civil construction industry is seeking an experienced site agent to join their team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing all activities and resources on the site and work with foreman to ensure project delivery within budget, safety standards and costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of on-site construction projects
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Maximise project value, ensure record completion and report accurate monthly reports
  • Chair site meetings with subordinates and relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations
  • Manage project schedules and timelines
  • Provide regular updates and reports to project managers
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on site

Requirements

  • BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering or Building Studies
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil construction projects
  • Experience working on water treatment plants including roads, sewer and structural concrete experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license
