About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will assist with daily site supervision, contract administration, and quality control, while ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections and prepare progress and quality reports
  • Monitor construction quality and compliance with drawings and specs
  • Support the RE with managing contractor queries and documentation
  • Attend site meetings and assist with project coordination
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 25 years of construction supervision experience
  • Exposure to roads, pipelines, or municipal infrastructure (advantageous)
  • Strong reporting, inspection, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced site environment

Qualifications

  • BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering
  • ECSA registration (Candidate or Professional)
