A leading paint manufacturer situated in Cape Town is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Research and Development Technical Analyst to join their team.
The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:
Execute and monitor the execution of:
- Research and development projects relating to ongoing product maintenance and new developments.
- Quality control procedures.
- Current raw material testing and evaluation of raw material alternatives.
Gather and analyse data within:
- Research and development projects, for the purpose of reporting on, interpreting and solving problems relating to product maintenance and new development.
- Raw materials testing, for the purpose of reporting on raw material consistency and maintaining raw material standards.
- Quality control, for the purpose of reporting on and mitigating potential quality concerns.
- Production, for the purpose of reporting on and solving problems related to the transfer of laboratory work into the production space.
- The areas listed above for the purpose of reporting.
Key requirements:
- 3-5 years extensive experience in a R&D environment, preferably in the coatings, inks, plastics, or adhesives field.
- Bachelors/Diploma in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, Composite Engineering, or a related subject is desirable but not essential.
