Job Description

A leading technology company is seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. This is a permanent position, offering a hybrid work model that combines the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development processes.
  • Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker.
  • Orchestrate and manage Kubernetes clusters for efficient application deployment and scaling.
  • Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate and manage cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the DevOps environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in DevOps engineering with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Docker for containerization.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to a hybrid work model.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or related areas are a plus.
