About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Administrator to join our team in Johannesburg. As an IAM Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and access management of our organization’s systems and data. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in IT support and IAM concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in provisioning, modifying, and deactivating user accounts across Active Directory (AD) and cloud platform (Azure Entra).
- Support the review and update of access rights for movers and leavers, ensuring evidence is documented and stored per audit requirements.
- Manage security groups, distribution groups, and functional mailboxes.
- Perform routine AD health checks and system monitoring (e.g. passwords older than 90 days).
- Verify Oracle Terminations report and AD end dates are aligned.
- To follow-up with discrepancies and maintain records and acknowledgment of resolution for these discrepancies.
Requirements
- Matric plus Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- Certifications in Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, or CompTIA Security are advantageous.
- Exposure to identity governance tools (e.g., PAM360, DSP) 2 years experience in IT support, systems administration, or IAM environment.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Entra ID.
- Basic understanding of networking and IT security principles.
- Understanding of user account management and access control principles.
- A working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.
