About the Role

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Cape Town City Centre location, ensuring seamless delivery of domestic and commercial services to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hands-on individual with strong leadership skills to take ownership of operations and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage daily and weekly logistics, including collections and deliveries
  • Oversee and manage floor staff, ensuring productivity and performance standards are met
  • Monitor staff performance and conduct performance reviews and record checks
  • Handle customer communication, including calls and service queries
  • Coordinate and assist with deliveries and collections where required
  • Manage invoicing and general administration
  • Control stock, consumables, and ordering processes
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs of equipment
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across both domestic and commercial services

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations or general management, preferably within a service-based environment
  • Strong staff management and leadership skills
  • Experience managing logistics, scheduling, and customer service
  • Good administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
  • Basic understanding of stock control and invoicing processes
