About the Role
Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Inspector to join our team. As a Secunda: QA/QC Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of fabrication, welding, piping, structural steel and mechanical works on site. You will work closely with site teams, supervisors, welders, boilermakers and engineers to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections on fabrication, welding, piping, structural steel and mechanical works
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved quality plans, procedures, drawings and client specifications
- Monitor compliance with relevant codes, standards and project requirements
- Prepare, review and maintain quality control records, inspection reports and supporting documentation
- Perform visual inspections and verify dimensions, materials and workmanship
- Witness and record inspections, pressure tests, NDT activities and related quality checks
- Identify defects, non-conformances and deviations from specifications and report them accordingly
- Compile quality dossiers, data books and final handover documentation
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results and corrective actions
Requirements
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- SAIW Level 2 (Fabrication and Welding Inspector)
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a QA/QC role within the petrochemical, construction, engineering or maintenance environment
- Experience with welding, piping, mechanical and structural inspections is advantageous
