About the Role
Our client is seeking experienced Production Managers to oversee macadamia farming operations in the White River and Malelane areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of the farm, including production, labor, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administering day-to-day farm activities
- Maintaining store keeping and stock management systems
- Implementing risk management strategies
- Supervising labor and managing employee relations
- Overseeing farming programmes and harvests
- Managing irrigation systems
- Conducting pruning operations
- Monitoring water usage and management
- Coordinating maintenance and repair of fences, chemicals, fertilizers, and equipment
- Identifying and addressing preventative maintenance issues
Requirements
- Relevant experience in farm management or a related field
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to manage labor and supervise employees
- Knowledge of farming programmes and harvests
- Experience with irrigation systems and water management
