About the Role

Kethelo Group is seeking skilled and semi-skilled welders and boilermakers to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling sheetmetal components to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble sheetmetal components to precise specifications.
Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.
Operate fabrication tools including guillotines, press brakes, rollers, grinders, and drills.
Carry out cutting, bending, forming, and finishing processes.
Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to meet production deadlines.

Requirements

Skills in MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various metals.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.
Experience with fabrication tools such as guillotines, press brakes, rollers, grinders, and drills.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.

Qualifications

Formal education in a relevant field (e.g. National Diploma or Higher Certificate in Welding or related field).
Relevant work experience in welding and fabrication.
