About the Role
Join our dynamic kitchen team at Hospitality and Outdoor Ltd in Northcliff, Gauteng as a Junior Chef. We are seeking a passionate and motivated culinary professional to assist with daily kitchen operations and contribute to delivering high-quality food and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with ingredient preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Support senior chefs during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with stock rotation and storage procedures
- Ensure correct portioning and recipe adherence
- Support plating and presentation during service
- Help maintain smooth kitchen workflow during peak periods
Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Junior Chef role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene standards is essential.
Qualifications
Formal culinary qualification or relevant certification preferred.
