About the Role
The Mine Manager position at Jobs 4 All requires a seasoned mining professional to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily mining activities (drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing).
- Ensure production targets are met in line with company objectives.
- Monitor operational performance and implement improvements where necessary.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a safety-first culture across all teams.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary workforce.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
- Ensure adequate staffing and training levels.
- Develop and manage budgets, controlling operational costs.
- Optimize resource allocation (labor, equipment, materials).
- Prepare reports on production, costs, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with mining laws, permits, and environmental standards.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
- Oversee environmental management plans and rehabilitation activities.
- Ensure proper maintenance and availability of mining equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or equipment upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (as per local regulations).
- Minimum 8–10 years of mining experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mining methods, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
