About the Role

The Revenue Controller will play a crucial role in supporting strong working capital management by taking ownership of the full debtors and billing cycle. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the full debtors and billing cycle to support strong working capital management.
  • Ensure invoices are prepared, processed, and distributed within agreed timelines.
  • Engage regularly with clients to resolve billing queries and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales and Operations to ensure accurate and timely billing of services.
  • Monitor client accounts, follow up on outstanding amounts, and support the collections process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information across relevant systems.
  • Upload and manage invoices on client portals, ensuring smooth processing and payment tracking.
  • Assist with reconciliations, including bank accounts and customer balances.
  • Support month-end processes through preparation of accruals and analysis of revenue items.
  • Contribute to reporting requirements and assist with ad hoc finance queries and projects.

Requirements

  • A completed BCom Accounting degree
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work comfortably with large datasets
  • Exposure to accounting systems such as Pastel Partner or Sage Intacct would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in a billing, revenue, or debtors-focused role
  • Ability to interpret contracts or service agreements in a financial context

Qualifications

A completed BCom Accounting degree is required for this position.
