Johannesburg: Regional Financial Manager (East Rand)

About the Role

The Regional Financial Manager (East Rand) role is a critical position within our Retail sector, requiring a strong financial management background and experience in leading teams to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, Labour Legislation, and relevant tax laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyse, and ensure adherence to budget
  • Analyse debtors age analysis, creditors reconciliations, GL, cashbook, COS reconciliation
  • Resolve CRS reconciliation queries; perform cash-ups
  • Invoicing, receiving cash and debtors account rules
  • Manage teams in various branches and visit retail outlets
  • Highlight trends and opportunities for revenue generation improvements
  • Implement solid controls and monitor internal risk areas within each branch
  • Compile staff development reports and set clear performance matrices
  • Compile and report on business performance scorecards

Requirements

  • Completed B.Com (Accounting) degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role as Regional FM/Regional Manager within the Retail sector
  • Strong grasp of IFRS principles and knowledge of relevant Labour Legislation (BCEA)
  • Experience with SAGE X3 and Sharepoint is highly advantageous

Qualifications

  • B.Com (Hons) (Accounting) is highly advantageous
