About the Role
Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly experienced Group Financial Manager to join their team based in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and oversight to the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality financial management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Full financial management and control function.
- Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts.
- Preparation and compilation of quarterly board packs.
- Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements line with IFRS and the Companies Act.
- Preparation, analysis and review of operational and financial budgets and forecasts.
- Preparation and maintenance of capital budgets for existing operations and any new developments.
- Preparation, review, submission and management of all tax types i.e. Income Tax (final and provisional), VAT, STT and any other applicable taxes etc.
- Management of the external audit process and addressing technical issues.
- Stock Management
- Cash Flow Management
- Management of the internal audit process and addressing internal control issues.
- Provide technical (IFRS) insights and draft reports for new or potential corporate transactions.
- Implement and maintain a strong control environment and drive continuous improvement.
- Adhering to strict reporting deadlines.
- Check, verify and release electronic bank payments.
- Management of the Finance Team
- Financial review and analysis of all group entities.
- Financial modelling and valuations.
- Work closely with Exco and Stakeholders.
- Any other ad hoc projects and output that may be reasonably required from this role.
Requirements
- Qualified CA (SA) or CIMA and completed articles
- Minimum 5 years post articles working experience
- Minimum 2 years management or supervision role
- Working experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional numerical ability
- Strong analytical, and leadership abilities
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks
- Advanced MS Excel skills
