About the Role

The Internal Auditor Quality Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of auditors in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of internal audits across the group of companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review operations across the group of companies
  • Lead audit teams on risk-based audit engagements
  • Oversee and enhance Internal Audits Quality Improvement Process
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure compliance with IIA GIAS and TWK methodology
  • Oversee IT service providers and ensure effective monitoring
  • Apply data analytics for continuous reviews, reporting, and fraud detection

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years Internal Audit experience
  • Big 4 Internal Audit experience required
  • Previous in-house Internal Audit experience required
  • Proficiency in Audit Quality Reviews
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Barn Owl experience advantageous (no specific requirements mentioned)

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Internal Audit, or related field
  • Honours degree advantageous
  • CIA qualification advantageous
