About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, working primarily on projects across the real estate sector. The ideal candidate will possess excellent spatial awareness, analytical skills, and the ability to balance design integrity with budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse properties with high-level detail and spatial awareness, primarily across the London market
  • Develop and apply interior design concepts informed by buyer profile, location, property type, and guest experience
  • Apply available budgets strategically to maximise impact, value, and return on investment without compromising design integrity
  • Make informed decisions on which design interventions are worth pursuing versus deprioritising to maximise both impact and value
  • Create concept designs, moodboards, and design narratives at proposal stage
  • Select design directions that align with company’s aesthetic while responding to the individual property
  • Lead the design portion of sales pitches, confidently talking clients through design intent, scope, and commercial rationale in a warm, engaging, and confident manner
  • Act as the design expert and go-to point of contact for all design-related queries once a project has converted
  • Produce structured, well-considered design handovers that enable smooth execution by delivery teams and contractors

Requirements

  • Proficiency in CAD and Canva for layouts, presentations, and design documentation
  • Comfortable working with project and workflow tools (Houzz Pro, Monday.com)
  • Strong technical understanding of layouts, specifications, and design handovers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Formal education in Interior Design or related field (Bachelor’s degree)
