About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Communicate Finance in the Western Cape region. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing high-precision fitting and turning work on mechanical components, manufacturing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing moving and rotating parts, and supporting injection moulding tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-precision fitting and turning work on mechanical components
- Manufacture, assemble, maintain, and repair moving and rotating parts
- Support injection moulding tooling, including fitting, alignment, and maintenance of moulds
- Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Operate, set up, and support CNC machining processes
- Assist with tooling improvements, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and workmanship standards at all times
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Fitter & Turner
- Proven experience working in injection moulding or plastic manufacturing environments
- Proficient in FANUC controls and Mastercam software
- Experience working with high-precision, moving, and rotating components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality output
