About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Dairy Farm Manager to join our team at Farm Manager SA. As a key member of our farm management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dairy farm, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily dairy farm operations
- Implement and maintain pasture management strategies
- Ensure compliance with Afikem and 4th Quadrant regulations
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Provide excellent stockmanship and animal care
- Develop and implement effective management plans
Requirements
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree
- Minimum of 5 years previous dairy experience
- Minimum of 5 years previous pasture management experience
- Previous Afikem and 4th Quadrant knowledge advantageous
- Computer literate
- Strong stockmanship
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mechanically orientated
- Strong record of management skills
- Ability to speak Xhosa advantageous
