About the Role
A dynamic and growing technology company in Sandton is seeking an Accounting Officer or Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the company’s financial records and transactions
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Process payroll and ensure all taxes are paid on time
- Prepare and file tax returns and other financial reports
- Prepare and manage budgets and financial forecasts
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Respond to financial inquiries and provide support to management as needed
- Processing of VAT returns and e-filing
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years Pastel Experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
