About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join a specialised engineering environment focused on industrial weighing systems, batch plant solutions, and process control integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on technical support, installation, calibration, fault finding, and maintenance of industrial weighing and batching equipment across various client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical & Instrumentation installation, wiring, and fault finding
- Loadcell installation, calibration, and servicing (silos & hoppers)
- Breakdown support and troubleshooting on batching plant systems
- Work with Loss-in-Weight and Gain-in-Weight systems
- Conduct site inspections, installations, and commissioning
- Provide technical support to clients on-site
- Assist with sourcing technical and electrical quotations from suppliers
Requirements
- Matric
- N3N6 Electrical or Instrumentation OR Diploma/BTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (advantageous)
- 13 years experience in Electrical & Instrumentation field
- Experience in industrial weighing and batch plant systems (essential)
