About the Role
Oude Werf Hotel in Stellenbosch is seeking a Reservationist to join our team and support the reservations function through effective booking management and exceptional guest service. We are committed to treating everyone with fairness, respect, and an appreciation for their individuality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service to guests via telephone, email, and online channels.
- Process, amend, and confirm reservations accurately using Opera Cloud and related systems.
- Identify upselling opportunities, promote hotel offerings, and maximise room revenue.
- Provide clear and timely information to guests regarding rates, availability, packages, and hotel services.
- Maintain accurate guest profiles, reservation records, and reports with strong attention to detail.
- Work closely with Front Office and other departments to ensure smooth guest arrivals and operational efficiency.
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple enquiries.
Requirements
- Matric
- Diploma or certificate in hospitality management, Hotel management or Tourism
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the hotel industry in a similar position
- Computer literate with experience with MS Office and 5 years’ experience in Opera Cloud OTA/GTS systems.
- Ability to Work various shifts
- Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
- Strong sales ability and customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask, plan and organise effectively.
