About the Role
Kappa Engineering is seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to join our team, responsible for ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards. As a key member of our quality control team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining product compliance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect materials and monitor welding activities to identify defects
- Verify completed welds meet quality and safety requirements
- Ensure only qualified welders are used on projects
- Maintain accurate inspection records
- Report non-conformance for corrective action
- Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including standard operating procedures and inspection criteria
Requirements
- Able to read and interpret Engineering drawing requirements
- Previous experience in hydraulic cylinder manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of Welding Procedure Specifications and code compliance
- Complete QC reports
