About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a seasoned Finance Controller to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of finance deliverables relating to agency and TSA agreements, managing income and expenses, and ensuring compliance with IFRS, Companies Act, and Income Tax Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of finance deliverables relating to agency and TSA agreements
- Manage income, expenses, receipts, and payments in line with contractual requirements
- Oversee invoicing and fee recoveries related to services rendered
- Ensure correct VAT treatment across sales, trade spend, claims, and expenses
- Manage postclosing collections, payments, and reconciliation of “wrong pockets”
- Prepare weekly and monthly management reports
- Produce consolidated reports with clear financial commentary
- Ensure accurate reporting of:
- Accounts receivable (trade, producers, and other)
- Accounts payable (trade, suppliers, and other)
- Inventory and treasury-related transactions
Requirements
- BCom Accounting
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting / BCom Honours
- Professional designation advantageous: CA(SA), AGA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar finance or controlling role
- Strong background in:
- Standard costing systems
- IFRS financial reporting
- South African tax and VAT
- Treasury and internal controls
