About the Role
Takora is seeking a Junior Fire Detection Technician to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our fire detection and safety services, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and testing fire detection systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and test fire detection systems according to SANS 10139 standards
- Conduct site safety inspections and enforce OHS Act regulations
- Provide technical support and training to clients on fire detection system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
- SAQCC detection commissioner or Installer Qualification
- At least 2 years of experience as a Fire Detection Technician
- Knowledge of SANS 10139 fire detection standards
- Knowledge of the OHS Act and site safety regulations
- Valid driver’s licence
