About the Role
Takora is seeking a Junior Fire Detection Technician to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our fire safety team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining fire detection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fire detection systems according to SANS 10139 standards
- Conduct site inspections to identify potential fire hazards and recommend corrective measures
- Collaborate with clients to understand their fire safety needs and provide tailored solutions
- Maintain accurate records of system installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Ensure compliance with OHS Act and site safety regulations
Requirements
- SAQCC detection commissioner or Installer Qualification
- At least 2 years of experience as a Fire Detection Technician
- Knowledge of SANS 10139 fire detection standards
- Knowledge of the OHS Act and site safety regulations
- Valid driver’s licence
