A well-established retail business is seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead its Polokwane branch. This role is suited to a commercially minded individual with strong leadership ability and a proven track record in retail management. Location requirement: Applicants must currently reside in Polokwane. Working hours: Includes alternate Saturdays. Role Overview: You will be responsible for the full day-to-day management of the store, with a strong focus on improving commercial performance, increasing turnover, and maximising profitability. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong operational control, and a proactive approach to driving sales. Key Responsibilities: -Drive store performance to meet monthly turnover and gross profit targets -Deliver excellent customer service by understanding and meeting customer needs -Lead, motivate, and manage staff to achieve high performance -Oversee staff training and ensure strong product knowledge across the team -Maintain high standards of merchandising, housekeeping, and store presentation -Manage stock effectively, including reorders, stocktakes, and shrinkage control -Handle administrative duties including banking, reporting, and database updates -Implement promotions and in-store displays to boost sales -Monitor daily operations, staff performance, and customer interactions on the floor -Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Minimum Requirements: -Matric -Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Branch Manager -Solid retail experience (essential) -Hardware or homeware experience (advantageous) Key Competencies: -Strong communication skills -Computer literacy -Professional and presentable -Disciplined with a strong work ethic -Leadership ability with a hands-on management style Benefits: -Pension -Medical Plan (not medical aid) If you meet the above criteria and are ready to take ownership of a high-performing retail branch, apply today.
