About the Role
The Perfect Placements is seeking an experienced Front Office Manager to join our client’s 5-star Hotel in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, managing staff, and ensuring that internal and external standards and procedures are continuously achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees daily hotel reception operations, ensuring exceptional guest service
- Manages staff, facilitating smooth check-ins/check-outs
- Trains team members, handles guest complaints, manages budgets, and implements procedures
- Maintains front office operational standards, ensuring front desk areas are organized and procedures are followed
- Prepares reports, manages budgets, and oversees inventory of office supplies
- Manages the guest arrival/departure process, handling complaints, special requests, and VIP services efficiently
- Supervises, trains, and schedules front desk agents, concierges, and night auditors to ensure high-performance service
- Coordinates with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to resolve issues and improve service
Requirements
- 3 Year Hotel School Diploma or equivalent National Qualification at a Diploma level
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience with 3 years in a supervisory /management position in the hospitality industry (specifically 4- or 5-star properties)
- Previous experience in duty management is an advantage
