Job Title: Maintenance Manager Job Purpose To ensure the lodge’s facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests and staff. The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance operations, manage a team, and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and costs. The role requires strong collaboration with other department heads and a willingness to assist promptly when instructed to resolve issues. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan. Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors. Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Manage budgets for maintenance and repairs, including cost control and procurement of materials. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment servicing. Oversee energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability practices. Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruption to guests. Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (not essential but definitely advantageous). Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in maintenance management, preferably in hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Experience managing budgets and maintenance schedules. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
