About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our team as a key member of our underground Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) maintenance crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing electrical systems on TMM equipment, including LHDs, drill rigs, bolters, utility vehicles, and diesel/electro-hydraulic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain 12/24V DC systems, starters/alternators, wiring harnesses, batteries, lighting, and electrical auxiliaries on TMM
- Fault-find and repair CANbus, electronic control modules (ECMs), sensor networks, HMI panels, interlocks, and protection devices
- Perform maintenance on electro-hydraulic control systems, proportional valves, solenoids, and joysticks
- Support VSD/inverter and PLC (basic I/O) fault finding where applicable (OEM-dependent)
- Maintain charging systems, isolation/lockout, and emergency shutdown circuits
Requirements
- Trade Test (Auto Electrician) Red Seal (Section 13 or Section 26D)
- N2/N3 Electrical/Auto Electrical (N4/N6 advantageous)
- Underground mining experience: 35 years, specifically on TMM (LHDs, drill rigs, bolters)
- Proven competency with 12/24V DC systems, CANbus diagnostics, wiring & harness repair. Electro-hydraulics and controls on TMM.

- Completed Trade Test (Auto Electrician) Red Seal program
