This role is ideal for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment and enjoys creating unforgettable guest experiences. As the key liaison between clients and internal departments, the Banqueting Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all functions, conferences, and events are executed seamlessly and in line with exceptional service standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships from the initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up, ensuring that every detail is carefully planned, communicated, and delivered. This includes coordinating menus, room setups, audiovisual requirements, dcor, and accommodation arrangements. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, as the role requires close collaboration with kitchen teams, front-of-house staff, external suppliers, and management. In addition to event coordination, the role involves administrative and financial duties such as managing bookings, processing payments, preparing invoices, and maintaining accurate records within reservation systems. A proactive approach to upselling and revenue optimisation is expected, alongside delivering service excellence aligned with luxury hospitality standards. Job Responsibilities & Requirements Manage client enquiries via phone, email, and in person Conduct site inspections and plan event logistics Coordinate menus, dcor, layouts, and audiovisual needs Compile detailed function sheets for all events Liaise with kitchen, F&B, and operations teams Coordinate with front office on guest and rooming details Manage external vendors and suppliers Oversee event setup and ensure quality standards Act as the main contact during events and resolve issues Maintain booking systems (Proposales and Opera OSEM) Process payments, deposits, and invoicing Conduct post-event feedback and reporting Maximize revenue through upselling and conversions Ensure accurate forecasting and follow-ups Support the sales team with bookings and enquiries Salary R20 000 R23 000 per month (Plus 50% Medical Aid & 50% Provident Fund benefits) Start Date As soon as possible
