They are seeking a highly driven, authoritative, and hands-on Production Manager / Floor Manager / Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations, stock control, and team performance within a dynamic distribution environment.

This role is ideal for a strong operational leader who thrives on accountability, structure, and execution. The successful candidate will take ownership of the warehouse floor, ensure stock accuracy, drive productivity, lead teams effectively, and maintain high operational standards across receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch processes.

The ideal candidate has proven experience managing warehouse teams, conducting stock takes, controlling inventory, and ensuring operational efficiency in a distribution or wholesale environment

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Warehouse Management, or related field will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Warehouse Manager, Floor Manager, Operations Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing warehouse teams.
  • Strong stock management and inventory control experience.
  • Extensive experience conducting stock takes and resolving inventory variances.
  • Experience within a wholesale, distribution, FMCG, retail distribution, or importing environment is highly advantageous.
  • Computer literate with experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and distribution floor.
  • Manage receiving, quality checks, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch functions.
  • Ensure operational processes are followed consistently and efficiently.
  • Drive productivity and performance across all warehouse activities.
  • Implement and maintain warehouse procedures and controls.

Stock Control & Inventory Management 

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels across all product categories.
  • Lead regular cycle counts and full stock takes.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor stock movements and ensure inventory integrity.
  • Ensure accurate capturing of stock transactions within the company systems.
  • Minimise stock losses, damages, and inventory variances.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and motivate warehouse staff.
  • Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance against targets.
  • Conduct staff training and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure staff adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Dispatch & Distribution

  • Ensure all customer and retail orders are accurately picked and dispatched.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and warehouse turnaround times.
  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams to ensure service level commitments are achieved.
  • Maintain high standards of order accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement  

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, and warehouse utilisation.
  • Implement systems and processes that enhance operational performance.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide regular operational reports to management.
