Position Overview:
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their manufacturing company in Cape Town. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in bookkeeping, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable/receivable, expenses, and revenue.
  • Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
  • Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, stock movements, and production costs, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support management decision-making.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and provide necessary documentation during audits.
  • Manage and reconcile stock inventories, coordinating with production and warehousing teams to ensure accurate valuation and control of goods.
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate records of staff salaries, benefits, and deductions.
  • Assist in preparing tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and advancements in financial software and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role in a manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience working with bookkeeping software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines with high quality work.
  • Knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity, ensuring data security and accuracy.
  • Professional certification in bookkeeping, such as Certified Bookkeeper, is a plus.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Bookkeeper to manage the financial records for two companies. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong data entry skills, and the ability to learn quickly. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records. This is a flexible, part-time position (1620 hours per week) with remote working options; however, the candidate must be based permanently in Cape Town for in-person training in the city center.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain financial records for UK and US entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

  • Enter financial transactions with speed and precision.

  • Assist in refining and implementing efficient bookkeeping workflows.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for financial queries.

  • Support financial reporting processes and ensure timely data availability.

  • Work with the Finance Director to ensure financial integrity across both entities.

Requirements:

  • Strong bookkeeping experience, preferably in both UK and US financial systems.

  • Familiarity with relevant accounting software is advantageous but not essential.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.

  • Strong organizational and data entry skills.

  • Excellent memory and ability to maintain consistency in financial records.

  • Confident communicator with a professional approach to internal and external interactions.

  • Based permanently in Cape Town and available for in-person training.

  • A strong work ethic with an understanding that accuracy and precision are non-negotiable.

  • Ability to work independently while following structured bookkeeping procedures.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Bookkeeper for a contract-based role at an accounting firm in Cape Town. We are a leading recruitment and staffing firm dedicated to connecting talented professionals with the right career opportunities.

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct bank reconciliations, generate VAT reports, administer payroll, and manage debtor and creditor processing using Pastel Accounting software.
  • Process payments to creditors as directed by management and generate invoices as needed.
  • Prepare IRP5/IT3A certificates and submit them to SARS (South African Revenue Service).
  • Handle statutory returns, including VAT and PAYE, by preparing and submitting necessary documentation.
  • Prepare financial statements, including the trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet.
  • Generate budget and financial reports to aid decision-making processes.
  • Create cash flow statements to facilitate financial planning.
  • Assist auditors in preparing the annual audited financial statements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Dates/Rates:

  • Start date: Immediate
  • Probation/Shadow Period: 1-month probationary period, working 2.5 days a week from May 1st to May 31st, 2024.
  • Contract: 2-month contract, working 3 days a week (spread over the entire week) following the probation period. Contract renewal every 2 months contingent upon performance.
  • Full-time commitment required during the Festival period, approximately June 3rd to June 30th.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. 

Responsibilities:

  • Commerce degree/diploma in Financial Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • SAIPA/SAICA articles complete
  • Alternatively, 4-5 years working experience as a bookkeeper, if no articles
  • Syspro experience is advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Friendly yet assertive personality
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail with a flair for accuracy

Requirements:

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system
  • Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy of financial data
  • Preparing and delivering financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Maintaining confidentiality of financial information and adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Providing support for audits and preparing documentation as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Bookkeeper or similar role
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting requirements

Job Summary

Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Bookkeeper to manage the financial records for two companies. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong data entry skills, and the ability to learn quickly.

  • Maintain financial records for UK and US entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Enter financial transactions with speed and precision.
  • Assist in refining and implementing efficient bookkeeping workflows.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for financial queries.
  • Support financial reporting processes and ensure timely data availability.
  • Work with the Finance Director to ensure financial integrity across both entities.

????????????:

  • Strong bookkeeping experience, preferably in both UK and US financial systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting software is advantageous but not essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.
  • Strong organizational and data entry skills.
  • Excellent memory and ability to maintain consistency in financial records.
  • Confident communicator with a professional approach to internal and external interactions.
  • Based permanently in Cape Town and available for in-person training.
  • A strong work ethic with an understanding that accuracy and precision are non-negotiable.
  • Ability to work independently while following structured bookkeeping procedures.

Hire Resolves client, a leading Financial Services Provider (FSP) in the wealth management and insurance space, is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team in Bellville. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to a high-performing finance team within a reputable organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and follow up on outstanding issues

  • Prepare cash books, bank reconciliations, and supplier reconciliations

  • Maintain fixed asset registers and process journal entries

  • Prepare routine reconciliation schedules and ensure accurate financial records

  • Process customer invoices, statements, and deposits; assist with collections

  • Report on daily cash and bank balances and coordinate payment processes

  • Prepare VAT, EMP, and Income Tax returns for simple entities

  • Assist with audit preparation and year-end procedures

  • Support management reporting and budgeting tasks

  • Participate in meetings and contribute to team tasks and projects

Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Accounting

  • Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping/Accounting (or equivalent)

  • 5 to 7 years bookkeeping/accounting experience 

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Bookkeeper II

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

  • Proficiency in Sage X3, Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills

  • Team-oriented with a methodical and focused approach

  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary
