Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances, and providing analysis to support decision-making. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including the timely submission of tax returns and payments. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections. General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and investigate discrepancies. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits, liaising with auditors as required. Payroll Processing: Coordinate payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements. SAGE Accounting: Utilize SAGE Accounting software to manage financial transactions, generate reports, and streamline processes.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification – Accounting completed Articles 3 years of relevant work experience in cost accounting, preferably in the FMCG industry. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and methodologies. Proficient in using cost accounting software and ERP systems Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, V-Lookup, and data analysis functions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability to changing business requirements and the willingness to continuously learn and improve.
