About the Role
The Area Manager (Trolley Management) is a critical role located in the heart of Cape Town City Centre, responsible for coordinating and managing the operation of all aspects of commissioned Corporate Building Trolley management and future externally commissioned Facilities Management-related service contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the operation of all aspects of existing and future contracted services.
- Control financial and resource management of allocated contracts.
- Manage quality standards and control contract costs.
- Provide professional and technical advice on Facilities Management Services to departments, committees, and external agencies.
- Ensure work is compliant with professional standards, within devolved budgets, and meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain trolleys on site.
- Conduct trolley repairs on site.
- Manage and supervise team.
- Lead change and assist in delivering excellence in customer service and professional Facilities Management delivery.
- Liaise, coordinate, and represent the service and company as a champion for customer service.
Requirements
- Good understanding of scheduling staffing and assigning cleaning tasks productively to achieve output standards according to site-specific SLAs.
- Ability to recover trolleys.
- Ability to conduct trolley repairs.
- Ability to conduct Trolley counts.
- Strong people skills and knowledge or Industrial relations.
- Strong on client relationships and strong communication skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Sense of urgency.
- Problem solving experience.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Be flexible and adaptable.
Qualifications
Minimum Matric or extensive relevant experience; 5 years Cleaning Management experience in a similar environment at middle management level. Must have own driver’s license and own vehicle.
