About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the bonds process of major banks, providing administrative support to the conveyancer, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the bonds process from start to finish
  • Provide administrative support to the conveyancer
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and all relevant stakeholders
  • Process bond cancellations and transfers (advantageous experience)
  • Utilize conveyancing software such as LexisConvey, WebConvey, Stordoc
  • Liaise with banks, including Nedbank, Absa, and Capitec
  • Prepare files accurately, from start to finish
  • Type and format legal documents
  • Prioritise and manage multiple files simultaneously

Requirements

  • Matric essential
  • Tertiary qualification beneficial
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in conveyancing or a related field
  • Experience with bond cancellations and transfers (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in conveyancing software such as LexisConvey, WebConvey, Stordoc
  • Experience with Legal Suite (advantageous)
