Cape Town City Centre: Coordinator (Quality Control)

Main purpose of the job: To oversee the operation of the laboratory and to coordinate and manage the Quality Control functions from Incoming Goods to final product leaving the warehouse. Key responsibility is also the coordination and maintenance of all Quality Systems and Procedures. Minimum Requirements: Matric (Gr. 12) with Maths & Science BSc / Food Science, Biotechnology or National Diploma/Degree in Food Technology Full competence in this role is typically developed over a period of 5-7 years after qualification is obtained; relevant additional management/specific system training is advised. Knowledge: Knowledge of ISO standards, PRPs GMP, Food Technology, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, World class manufacturing and quality practices and models, Specific product and process knowledge, Management systems, Problem Solving Tools, Mathematics, Audit Compliance, BCEA, LRA. Skills: Ability to maintain Food Safety management and Quality Control systems in line with best practices Managing and leading teams towards high performance QC skills and use of apparatus Change Management Monitoring and reviewing Conflict handling Audits Administration Management Good People skills Problem Solving
