Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Attend to machine breakdowns , diagnose faults, and perform repairs Report on downtime, repair progress, and maintenance activities Maintain service records for specialised production equipment Perform preventative maintenance on induction ovens and temper furnaces Conduct weekly and monthly servicing in line with maintenance schedules Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime Investigate and report on unexpected stoppages and equipment limitations Monitor machine components and report on performance and wear Support commissioning of new equipment in collaboration with engineering teams Liaise with design, R&D, and external specialists on equipment improvements Ensure tools and equipment are available and in good working condition Provide feedback on design improvements and deviations from specifications Requirements: Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Mathematics or Maths Literacy) Red Seal Trade Certificate Fitter & Turner (essential) 35 years post-trade experience Experience within a manufacturing environment (advantageous) Willingness to work overtime and be on call when required Must reside in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town
