Job Description

Minimum Requirements – Minimum 2 years guest relations or front-of-house experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment – Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management advantageous – Strong knowledge of guest service, VIP hosting and complaint handling – Proficiency in Opera PMS and Microsoft Office – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-centric approach – Well-presented, professional and confident in interacting with high-profile guests – Strong organisational and problem-solving skills – Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays – South African citizen with a valid ID Key Responsibilities – Act as the main point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and personalised arrival-to-departure experience – Anticipate guest needs and provide personalised assistance, recommendations and solutions – Handle guest queries, feedback and complaints with professionalism, ensuring effective service recovery – Coordinate special requests, celebrations and VIP arrangements in collaboration with relevant departments – Maintain excellent knowledge of Cape Town attractions, dining and cultural experiences to enhance guest stays – Work closely with Front Office, Concierge and F&B teams to deliver exceptional service across all touchpoints – Maintain accurate guest profiles and preferences to elevate repeat guest experiences – Uphold hotel standards, brand values and service excellence in every interaction Key Skills – Genuine passion for guest service and hospitality – Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Attention to detail and personalisation – Problem-solving and service recovery – Organisation and multitasking – Ability to perform in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment Why Work With Us At the President Hotel, we believe that memorable experiences are created by people who care.
