Job Description

Minimum Requirements Matric Certificate (Grade 12) Minimum 23 years experience within a hotel housekeeping department as a Housekeeping Supervisor Experience working within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment preferred Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards and cleaning procedures Good organisational and team coordination skills Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays Professional presentation and attention to detail CV must be fully updated prior to submission Key Responsibilities Housekeeping Operations & Supervision Supervise room attendants and housekeeping staff during daily operations. Allocate room assignments, monitor progress, and ensure all guest rooms are cleaned, inspected, and ready according to hotel standards. Quality Control & Room Inspections Conduct detailed room inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and equipment functionality meet hotel expectations. Address any issues immediately to maintain guest satisfaction. Guest Room Readiness Coordinate closely with Front Office to manage arrivals, departures, early check-ins, and late check-outs. Ensure rooms are prepared efficiently to support smooth guest flow. Team Leadership & Support Provide guidance, training, and support to housekeeping team members. Maintain discipline, productivity, and professionalism throughout the department. Public Area Standards Monitor cleanliness and presentation of corridors, service areas, and public spaces to ensure a consistently high standard throughout the property. Inventory & Supplies Assist with stock control of cleaning supplies, linen, and housekeeping equipment. Ensure trolleys and storage areas remain organised and well stocked. Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and housekeeping procedures. Maintain proper reporting and communication with the Housekeeping Manager.
