About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Laboratory Manager to oversee laboratory operations in our Cape Town City Centre facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing laboratory teams.

  • Quality Control & Assurance
  • Staff Leadership & HR Management
  • Specimen & Logistics Management
  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Biomedical Technology in Microbiology
  • Current active HPCSA registration as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
  • At least 1-3 years working experience as Laboratory Manager, preferably in a research environment
  • At least 1-2 years of management experience
  • Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) / Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Computer Literate (MS Office)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) & Client service skills
  • Valid Driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a life science field
  • Transportation of dangerous Goods/ International Air Transport Association Training Certificate (IATA)
  • Good Clinical practice (GCP) and Human Subjects Protection (HSP)
