About the Role

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the upkeep of our facilities and providing excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, etc.)
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
  • Attend to maintenance requests from guests and management promptly
  • Maintain swimming pool, garden areas, and exterior spaces (if applicable)
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are kept in good working condition
  • Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and disruptions
  • Report major faults or safety hazards to management
  • Assist with setup for events or functions where required
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in general maintenance (hotel/guesthouse experience advantageous)
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
  • Own transport (preferred due to location)
