About the Role
Our client is a fast-growing, tech-led business operating across multiple African markets, seeking a skilled Mid-Level to Senior Software Developer to join their high-calibre engineering team in Cape Town. This hands-on development role involves working on core systems that support payments, credit, distribution, and field operations used by thousands of users daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and maintaining production-grade software
- Working across the full development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborating with a small, experienced engineering team
- Improving system performance, reliability, and scalability
Requirements
- Minimum 25 years experience as a software developer
- Comfortable working in a modern backend or full-stack environment
- Experience with one or more mainstream languages (Java, .NET, or similar)
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and production systems
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team
Qualifications
Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in software development or information technology
