About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our Operational function, you will be responsible for driving daily tactical deliverables and ensuring optimal service delivery. You will work closely with the COO and Operations Manager to implement new processes, manage employee performance, and oversee operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operational activities, including collections execution against set service level agreements and defined policies/procedures.
- Track, manage, and support direct report line incumbents to achieve their daily operational deliverables.
- Continuously monitor and update Hatch Groups, implement necessary action where required.
- Ensure timeous lodging of any/ all 3rd party freight and oversee the processing of all local vehicle collection freight in line with pre-defined SOPs.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in an Operations Supervisory position.
- Minimum 5 years practical experience in the Freight/Logistics Industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proactive, critical thinker.
- Detail-oriented.
- Structured, methodical, and disciplined.
- Adaptable and open-minded.
- Decisive, resolute, and resilient.
Qualifications
- Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management (minimum Diploma).
