About the Role

The Sales and Service Account Manager – HVAC Water Treatment role in Cape Town City Centre requires an experienced professional to drive growth and customer value for our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, service, and account management within the HVAC and refrigeration markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and growing customers within the HVAC and refrigeration markets
  • Ensuring that company achieves revenue, profitability, and market share objectives aligned with the company’s portfolio
  • Managing and overseeing all annual reviews of major accounts to ascertain account status and set new mutually agreed goals
  • Training and driving service team on sales and service calls at customer sites
  • Supplying monthly area reports on customer visits and presenting these to management
  • Servicing and monitoring existing applications and projects within the HVAC (air conditioning) and refrigeration markets
  • Preparing and submitting technical and commercial proposals and tenders
  • Driving growth by continuously focusing on creating and delivering customer value, leveraging the company’s competitive advantage and product portfolio

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience selling and servicing water treatment chemicals into the HVAC and refrigeration markets calling on building owners, consultants, air conditioning companies etc.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
