About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Technician to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing technical solutions for various projects. If you have a strong background in civil engineering and excellent technical skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed design and analysis of structural systems
- Develop and implement temporary works designs and construction methodologies
- Utilize AutoCAD 2D (with 3D capabilities) to create precise drawings and models
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure design meets project requirements
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Civil Engineering Qualification (Degree, BTech, Diploma or N6)
- Minimum seven years of related experience in temporary works design and construction methodology
- Fully competent in AutoCAD 2D
- Experience with beam/structural analysis software is advantageous
