Job Description

Act as the face of the winery. The wine farm has a busy tasting room and restaurant and you will be driving and managing the wine tasting room with your professional skills, assisting the visitors with wine sales, wine tastings, educating them on the history of this lovely wine estate”s story and wines. Small and dynamic team. A tourist favourite. Manage all operations of the tasting room, stocking and processing sales. This operation is a day trade only, TUESDAY till SUNDAY. Great farm, a family operation. Requirements: Ability to work in winelands area Genuine passion for wine and excellent communication skills to convey enthusiasm to guests Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to build genuine relationships with a diverse range of guests Experience in a guest-facing role within the wine, hospitality or luxury retail sectors is often required The ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks, including sales, customer service and administrative duties Bilingualism, especially in English and Afrikaans advantage as local and international visitors visit the farm on a regular basis Responsibilities: Welcome guests warmly, conduct guided tastings and tours and share the history and winemaking philosophy of the estate Actively sell wine and promote the wine club by building relationships with guests and encouraging sign-ups and purchases Develop in-depth knowledge of the wines and winemaking practices to educate visitors and answer their questions effectively Handle daily tasks such as opening and closing the tasting room, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, managing stock, and processing sales transactions accurately Assist with estate events, private tastings and other special functions to enhance the guest experience and drive sales If you are open to a contract / seasonal position OR a permanent role, then this opportunity might just be for you.
