About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Technical Sales Representative in Cape Town City Centre. You will have the opportunity to promote and specify our company’s products into housing and commercial developments, including innovative LED automation solutions for architects and electrical consultant engineers. With excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, you will be able to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing demands and conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and specify company products into housing and commercial developments, including the Innovative LED Automation through architects and interior designers.
  • Promote and specify company products into housing and commercial developments, including the Innovative LED Lighting Automation through electrical consultant engineers.
  • Update and maintain the Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Northwest project register.
  • Go through Specifying Techniques and provide the allocated person(s) with the National register, listing prospective new developments, allocating developments to the respective Sales Representatives to attend to as well as removing completed won or lost projects.
  • Ensure that the Relevant Sales Representative(s) is/are aware when a project has been specified so that the relevant Sales Representative(s) can contact and/or follow up with client(s) such as electrical contractors and the wholesaler that he/she purchases items from, in order to ensure that the stock is ordered in time by the relevant Wholesaler.
  • Maintain relationships with architects and electrical consultant engineers. Provide training to the above-mentioned parties on a regular basis.
  • Add and update architect and electrical engineers details on the company’s CRM platform.
  • Complete daily call reports in the company’s CRM platform.
  • Assist Sales Representatives at product shows at wholesalers when needed.
  • Assist in the employer’s quarterly stock takes; or at any given time at the employer’s discretion as may be directed from time to time.

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Experience within the Warehouse and Retail industry
  • MS Office and Excel experience essential
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills
  • Self-driven initiative and deadline-driven with excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Successfully adapts to changing demands and conditions
  • High attention to detail, enthusiastic, Committed and reliable
