About the Role
The Workshop Manager will oversee daily operations at our Cape Town City Centre location, ensuring seamless workflow planning, staff supervision, and inventory control to drive customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily workshop activities
- Manage Work in Progress and ensure efficient workflow
- Equipment maintenance and tooling calibration
- Lead motivate and train technicians
- Supervise attendance and conduct performance reviews
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure PPE compliance
- Maintain a clean organized work environment
- Act as a point of contact for clients, resolve complaints, and conduct final inspections to ensure high-quality service standards
- Manage inventory levels, order parts, monitor expenses, and maximize productivity to meet daily goals
Requirements
Matric / Relevant technical qualification
Proven experience as workshop manager, supervisor or senior technician
Strong understanding of vehicles, mechanics, or relevant technical fields
Excellent coaching and communication and staff management skills
Ability to handle unexpected operational issues or urgent repair needs
Understanding of Fleet management
