About the Role
The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing maintenance activities to ensure optimal production levels and equipment uptime in our Bethlehem facility. The successful candidate will have experience with On Key 5 CMMS and a strong understanding of maintenance management principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate maintenance work orders and schedules
- Produce work plans and schedules
- Administer and monitor the maintenance management system
- Generate reports on maintenance performance
- Monitor implementation of maintenance schedules to avoid production interruptions and equipment downtime
- Ensure adequate resourcing and successful completion of assigned maintenance work orders
- Daily check engineering downtime reported on production sheets against CMMS data
- Review planning department weekly performance as required
- Ensure daily compliance with work planning and control procedure
- Periodically review preventive maintenance schedules and keep records thereof
- Educate maintenance personnel on job card details and importance of information
Requirements
- National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- Artisan qualification with minimum 3 years’ maintenance planning experience
- Maintenance Planning Certificate an added advantage
- Grade 12 / NQF 4 or equivalent
