About the Role
DataFin Recruitment is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team in Cape Town. As a key member of the infrastructure team, you will be responsible for automating infrastructure, improving deployment pipelines, and ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments
- Automate deployment and scaling processes
- Ensure system reliability, monitoring, and alerting
- Collaborate with development teams to improve workflows
- Optimize performance and cloud costs
Requirements
- Core Technologies:
- Cloud: AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
- Infrastructure: Terraform
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS DevOps tools
- Core Requirements:
- 35+ years experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong English communication

- BSc Computer Science / IT or HBO/WO Informatica
